Andrea Pennington, DVM

Dr. Andrea Pennington came to River Oaks Animal Hospital in July of 2019. She was born and raised in Greensboro, NC and did her undergraduate at North Carolina at Greensboro. Later she went on to receive her Veterinary degree from the University of Tennessee. She is married to her husband Chris who she says, “Is a big kid who keeps her from taking life too seriously.” She has two rescue dogs, Mr. Scragglesworth and Little Miss Pickle who she loves spending time with. She serves as a student leader at Beach Church, which includes teaching, mentoring and occasionally acting foolish. One of her greatest accomplishments in life is eating 25 Oreos off a plexiglass in one minute’s time. She believes in caring for the whole patient, incorporating medicine, lifestyle, and fostering the human-animal bond.
