Dr. Alexys Le Roux grew up in Chandler, Arizona, and earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Colorado State University, graduating from veterinary school in 2019. Prior to joining River Oaks Animal Hospital, she spent seven years practicing mixed animal medicine, caring for both small and large animals.
Her professional interests include internal medicine and preventive care, and she is passionate about building long-term relationships with pet owners. Dr. Le Roux believes that one of the most rewarding aspects of veterinary medicine is not only improving the lives of animals but also empowering owners to be the best advocates for their pets through individualized care and education.
Outside of work, Dr. Le Roux enjoys spending time with her family, horseback riding, competing in ranch versatility shows and sorting clinics, and exploring local restaurants. She shares her home with three horses, two dogs, and four cats. One of her more unique bucket list goals is to play every mini-golf course in Myrtle Beach—a challenge she’s excited to tackle one course at a time!
